SUV’s for all spend at this year’s Malaysia Autoshow 2018

Malaysian’s love their SUV’s. The high ride height, the commanding view, the God-complex one develops is unique to the SUV genre. As one of the most desirable segments in the motoring market, its no surprise that every manufacturer has released a form of SUV or another.

This year’s Malaysia Autoshow is no exception. There’s a wide variety of SUV’s that will be showcased at this year’s show. Here’s a quick highlight of some of the SUV’s which will be featured at the show.

The cult classic

Mitsubishi Malaysia and Toyota Malaysia both are fielding their Outlander 2.4 CKD and the Fortuner at this year’s show. Not only will you be able to check the cars out up close, you will also have a chance to try them out on the respective manufacturer’s obstacle course themed drive experiences. It’s a great opportunity to get a first-hand experience of what these cars are truly capable of.

The newcomers

Besides the tried and tested offerings from Mitsubishi and Toyota, this year’s Malaysia Autoshow will also see the debut of the Borgward marque in our country. Borgward, a german brand, is fielding in two SUV’s to mark their entrance to the Malaysian market. The BX5 and the BX7 SUV’s will be the first offerings from the marque and things are looking very promising indeed!

The mid-range luxury darlings

In the mid-range luxury segments, there’s the BMW X5 40e and the Volvo XC60. Both sport sub RM400k price tags, both are hybrid vehicles and both have 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder force induction engines. Both feature a whole lot of high tech toys and both come offer sizable outputs without having to pay in terms of fuel consumption. Indeed, they are worth a closer look at the show.

The top of the food chain

The heavyweights at this year comes from Jaguar and Land Rover respectively. The recently launched Range Rover Velar and the Jaguar F-Pace are both on display at this year’s Malaysia Autoshow. There’s so much that can be said about these cars. We shall just conclude it by saying that these two SUV’s are truly objects of desire for many.

Regardless of what your priority is at this year’s show, if its an SUV that you are after, then this is where you have to be from the 26th – 29th of April. See you there!
